This business started for one simple reason: my dog’s safety. After watching my own dog choke on a thick, dense, store-bought treat, I realized how many pet treats are heavier and tougher than they need to be. That moment stuck with me — and it inspired me to create something better.

I began experimenting in my own kitchen, focusing on simple, single-ingredient sweet potato treats that are light, airy, and crispy, making them easier for dogs to chew and enjoy. What started as a personal solution quickly became a passion.

The Sweet Potato Pup is a one-woman, owner-operated business, built entirely from the ground up. Every treat is homemade in small batches, dehydrated with care, and handled thoughtfully from start to finish. I’m involved in every step — from selecting and preparing the sweet potatoes to packaging the final product.

My goal is to create treats I feel confident giving my own dog — treats that are simple, wholesome, and made with intention. No fillers. No shortcuts. Just honest ingredients and careful preparation.
